Portraits of Love

"Portraits of Love" Exhibition celebrates Valentine’s Day at Akmerkez with the most passionate and captivating face of art. This special collection showcases 24 iconic couples from art history, reinterpreted through Küntay Tarık Evren’s unique perspective, bringing different facets and emotions of love to art enthusiasts.

Curated by Ecem Gürleyen and Dila Hondor, the exhibition not only takes visitors on a romantic journey but also invites them to explore the universality, fluidity, and transformative power of love. Going beyond conventional Valentine’s Day celebrations, this exhibition highlights how art transforms love and how love, in turn, nourishes art.

Rejecting rules and embracing an improvised and free-form expression, Küntay Tarık Evren is one of the pioneers of doodle art in Turkey, where his lines merge with the spontaneous aesthetics of the inner self. His background in graphic design adds dynamism to his works, while he continues to share his art through digital platforms and workshops. His energetic, subconscious-driven lines invite the viewer on an endless journey of discovery.
