Popeye was a central figure in my Capitalism Series and a major source of inspiration. He was already one of my childhood heroes, so incorporating him into my art felt like a natural bridge between nostalgia and modern critique. After featuring him in numerous paintings, I decided to take him off the flat canvas—just like I did with Richman—and crafted a 3D clay sculpture of Popeye to bring his legendary presence into physical space.
